ABOUT

Woodchuck

I enjoy long walks by the river, Margaritas....no wait, sorry wrong description. I roam North America for work all the while looking for the best mountain bike trails and Gluten Free restaurants.

Coming at you from somewhere in the foothills of Northern Indiana...do they even have hills in Indiana? Or wherever my itinerary may take me this week, with hotel and restaurant reviews for the business or casual traveler. All restaurant reviews will feature gluten free menus due to my own dietary restrictions. Travel is corporate budget style, always trying to make my numbers look good.

I am a Northwest boy, spent 40 some odd years in the Pacific Northwest before this latest gig took me to Northern Indiana. I may at times ramble on about the cultural and geographic differences, specifically as they relate to mountain biking, and [now lack of] rafting.

For sometime I have wanted to develop this blog, write more consistently and include more information about gluten free travel. So, I have hired an editor!

Introducing MonkeyDragon

OK, she is my wife. She writes a few blogs of her own. She got me all set up to post from my Blackberry so you can keep up with my travels and I can post photos and reviews of the food while it is still hot in front of me, and great travel tips while hanging the phone out the window taking photos at high speed.

She promised not to edit out the good [funny] stuff, she'll just clean it up a bit and hit  the "publish" button for me.

Wild cow and Druish Deities

I have been blessed with being able to drive some of the most unbelievable roads ever paved. Last week I found myself on HWY 108 in Central California. 130 Miles 26% grade 9624 at the summit 4 hours to drive this route This photo is looking west just down from the summit. I could live here with the wild cows. A lone wild cow at the 9000 foot level just making sure that nobody is speeding along.

When traveling with the kids

When you have a 10 hour drive with your little varmits. Find a place to hide away... Any place will do. I love my little varmits, just sometimes I could ...well put them back. I think they get this from their mother's side.
