For the first time in 21 years, pandemic aside, I will not be Elite in any membership programs.  National car rental Hilton Holiday Inn Marriott United Southwest All a big no.  I will now have to support and pay for my vacation. I am so confused.

But I'll do this just hanging in there.

Sometimes it's awesome just to eat at home.

I'm still tweaking the recipe just a hair, but getting there.  This seems to be coming a Sunday morning ritual.

Captain's log, date unknown. Days and quarantine, unknown. All I know is even the cat is ready for me to get back to work.  I've been working from my home office now for almost a month and I am overall pretty happy with the setup. Lawn painting the temptation to take naps is a little overwhelming. And yes, I am considered an essential worker, but my boss is requested that I do not travel outside of my house.  I managed to only be required to go to the grocery store once a week for fresh fruits and vegetables. My travel only requires me to be in the store for 20 minutes or less. I have this down to a science with my trusty disinfectant wipes in hand. Unlike our commander-in-chief, I believe in science.

You call it demonic because you hear screaming. I call it life saving because I hear the meaning!!

Or at least I used to roll....now I am walking.

Five weeks to go and still no new job within the company....

Had a really good meal at Kozy Kitchen in Dallas Texas. Buffalo with sweet Potatoes topped with two eggs and home made salsa..... All gluten free and super good.

I stayed at the Conrad Hotel in Chicago last week.I must say that this is one of the finest hotels that I have stayed in ever. The hotel is new and only half of the rooms are ready for guest. The room that I stayed in was a corner room with great views of the city even though I was on the side away from the water. The oversize king bed was wonderful and the sheets were so nice to sleep on. Great shower along with bathroom amenities. The staff was first class everywhere I went in the hotel. And the breakfast bar set up for our meetings was better than most site down breakfast. Fresh food that was not heat and serve, but prepared for our event. If this hotel is within your budget, I give this hotel top marks.

I'm still a huge Alaska Airlines fan and always will be, however, Southwest is winning me over. Front row seat with lot's of let room. The best part of Southwest is that they take the overhead bins seriously, if the bag is to big, they check it. If you have to many bags, then check some of them. You don't seem to hear about fights on Alaska or Southwest, and I know why. People don't get so mad due to the quality of flight attendants.

This shit is about to get real.

My coworker has a crappy attitude lately, so I made life a little easier  for him. I upgraded his office to include a bathroom. The next addition might just have to be a disco ball. And for the record, there is a life size "poo" emoji in the bowl. Next week will be a glorious week as the pranks will only go up from here.

We have survived... "she who must not be named" thanks to her roommate coming over for Christmas. The day went well and no major fights broke out. We played a nice card game and exchanged presents after a wonderful dinner. Thank you to all of the Deities that came together to make this happen. It would appear that Polytheistic Druids have the correct mind set and I need to spend more time exploring this concept.

New ride...same old satire.  However, the new Mini does fit much better.
