Life without a computer...

Means that you never know when a post might be in order. I have lots of pictures to show everyone, however, blogger does not seem to want to help with the upload of said pictures. Later maybe?

For the month of June, I've been snowed on while traveling to Central Oregon, burnt in Northern California, blown away in Central and Eastern Washington. Good times have been had by all.

So, on the topic of computers, does anyone have any input on what I should get for myself and for the oldest rodent in the house? I will be using mine for work and goofing off. Oldest rodent will be using it for high school class work.

The garden tour is just 2 weeks away and I have so much to do. I think that I shall drink from the Rogue Rum bottle and sit back and enjoy what we have done so far and ignore the rest. It's not that I really drink rum or even want to drink rum. It just sounds good to drink rum with a umbrella in the back yard.

Well, I'm gonna say get a Mac - unless you use a lot of applications that are only written for PC. Mac is so much easier and more reliable. I'm Mac at home, PC Windows network at the office; DG had a Vista PC. So based on that familiarity, I prefer Mac. It's more advanced, works better electronically and on the net - downloads, applications, and installations almost never give trouble, whereas DG lives in fear of new software installations and updates on his PC. MS Office applications written for Mac, incl. Word, Excel, etc. move flawlessly to a PC platform and vice-versa. In addition, if you buy a new PC, you'll get Vista, which continues to be a headache. Mac's graphics are better, it handles images, photos, and music better, and it's just plain way cool! It costs a bit more, but it's worth it. My students are about half Mac, half PC these days (a few years ago, you'd almost never see a Mac), and their fairly savvy laptop consumers. See http://www.apple.com

NO idea on the laptop. I am cheap. I go for the best deal. LOL.

Pc is fine, Vista takes a little getting use to, but runs really well once you get it set up. Blogger can be strange an loading pictures, sometimes it is best to take a break, sip a cold run drink and come back later.

THE Woodchuck podcast LIVE!

http://www.thevap.com/ Episode 32: Get Hitched! It's a long podcast, I'm the last half of the podcast. This was taped after a 10 hour day at SEMA and sitting in a hotel room while on the phone. I then went to the airport to take a midnight flight home. So, will this make a diffenence in my job, will anyone care, or will it get me a pay raise??? NO. Today may be a great day to go back to being 10 years old where I had no stress.

Madison, WI.

The whole theme today was a Woodchuck and his ale. I found a nice little place in downtown Madison, WI. called the Great Dane Pub & Brewing Company. This was one of the best IPAs I've had east of the Rockies. Fun little place to go and the food was not to bad either. Traveling the Globe...ok, just the North American continent in search of the perfect pint on IPA. Hops, they are not just for breakfast anymore.
