Fish tacos???

As many of you know, travel is all about finding the perfect I2PA or in chases a very nice meed will do in a pinch. There has and always will be the underlining need for food. And yes dear readers, fish tacos are the perfect food to go along with an I2PA. Fish Taco: A hard or soft taco made with Cod or preferable Halibut, a nice spice sauce(either red or white in color), cabbage and cheese. One must remember that all fish tacos are not created equally. Some are nothing more than "fast food", some have the time and care needed to be a true classic, but still miss the mark. A true fish taco is a work of art that needs to be cared for and brought to the table with love and served hot. So where would go to get the best in fish tacos? 1. The Old Post in Missoula, MT. is a fine place to get you fish taco fix. You can chose from different types of fish, or live on the edge and go for a blacken fish taco. They also have Rogue and Big Sky brewing on tap. 2. Any of the Rogue Brewing jo...

I want to know what is happing here?

I've been home now for 2 weeks and I've been working harder than when I'm on the road. Crap. I thought when you come home you were suppose to play and enjoy the Squirrels doing acrobatics in the back yard. I have my own little circus in the back yard with the furry woodland creatures jumping from trees and wrestling with each other. Today would be a good day for a Farscape marathon. I might just close my eyes and do the Runaway Ralph thing and imagine that I'm at the Brickyard battling it out for number one.

A cooking Woodchuck.

It' s a little know fact, Woodchucks can cook. On the little trip to the cabin by the lake, I did indeed do all of the cooking. The big question is, "Can he cook"? Well, one does not get this fat on Twinkies alone. How would you like you Omelet?

Getting back to native ground

We went away for the weekend with the little rodents to a nice cabin on a lake about an hour or so drive from the house. Nice a peaceful and plenty of trees to run around. Or run over on the bike. It took me about 2 hours to climb 3000' on the logging road....and about 30 minutes to come down on the trail.

Where do I live?

I was just looking at my schedule for the last month, I have spent more days in different time zones than my own. I want to go home. I will be home for 2 weeks because I have jury duty. Let's see if I have this straight, answer to all questions, hang them all, I think that is how it goes? I fell just like Frankie at the end of the Rocky Horror Picture Show singing that great song, I'm coming home.

My Kitty

My little cat passed away on Monday. She was with us for almost 16 years and I was not there to say goodby. I'm at a loss for words.

Just my size

When you go to a large city for the first time, like Washington, DC., it's nice to have someone to ask for directions when you need them. This fine gentleman was very helpful. And if there is no one around to ask, stop and have coffee or an ale at a nice sidewalk cafe.

No Pink Elephant here

Did anyone get the name of that run away Rogue bottle?

The fur is in a fluff.

I'm sitting here just thinking about the Imus thing. Just what the hell was the idiot thinking when he pops off with that kind of comment? I don't like the guy anyway, but to each his own, right? This just goes way off the charts, even for a dumb ass, knot headed, small minded, holy er than thou, I have a small penis moron. Now Rev. Jessie Jackson is getting into the ring for his 200th 15 minutes of fame and starts going off on how "Blacks" are not in the media and in positions of power. Cut me some slack here, I mean can anyone tell me the name of the coach that won the Super Bowl this year, other than the fact that he was Black? Who gives a crap if the guy is black or not, can't we just say he was the best coach and great guy who knows how to win games? Maybe if he was Orange with blue dots I would have given a crap about how he looks, but no, he was just the best coach for that season. I'm fat and Bald, so I want special access to the car pool lane, ya like...

May the force be with you on the invasion of Scotland.

April Fools....

OK, a few days late. We stopped in at the Capital Brewing for a wee pint of IPA. Very nice for East Coast. I tend to forget that most everything east of the Rocky's is light on the hops. The food was very good and the smell of a beer joint is something that I was missing. Sort of homesick you might say. "Hops, never leave home without them", that is what I always say.

And the Tour Begins

Need I say more?....OK, I did not really go here, just a walk by. But it's the thought that counts.

Gathering for the invasion of Scotland

Here we have our Squirrel Infantry in the "gray suit" for attacking in the mist that is found around Scotland. It's hard to see, but that is the point, we have our Squirrel infantry in their "white suites" just in case we encounter snow. I've also inspected the "black suites" for fighting in the bogs. Yes, Oh glorious Hamster, we are ready.

National Zoo

What cute little creatures I found at the Zoo. So warm and friendly. We had tea and butternut scones for lunch. The red Panda was very playful and fun to see climbing around the trees. More on the invasion of Scotland later.....

Why I don't fly with other people.

When I fly, I sleep or do work. I do not TALK! I might smile, do the polite hello, but that is it. Add on motor mouth 11 year old child....Thank you for the MP3 player. I'm in Washington, DC. with two kids, a DW, and a lot to do. More later. PS. I should have gone to Bora Bora........

I don't like Mondays....

Need I say more? I'm going to start drinking coffee again. I was much more Grinch like when I was drinking coffee. I like being Grinch like. I tried the black tea thing....didn't work, I want coffee. I guess I could drink a Mocha Porter from Rogue, coffee and ale all in one drink. Yes, I know that this post did not make any sense and that is why I need coffee.

Just to prove I don't make the stuff up.

I took this picture just to prove to you all that it's snowing on me again. But wait as I have a better picture for you. And even better yet. Please note the the "X" marks where the road is going. CRAP. I picked the wrong week to give up coffee. I had over 4" of snow on the road going over White Pass in the morning and snow and slush on the the road going over Snoqualmie Pass in the afternoon. And Sqirrel is still in Bora Bora. I'm thinking that he kinda sucks right about now.

The three seasons of Montana.

I know it's hard to see, but it's snowing on me. Maybe this will make things easier to see, it's snowing on me...again. In Montana you have three seasons: Winter, this is when it snows and you expect it to snow. More Winter, this is when it snows and you did not expect it to snow. Construction, this is when it finally stops snowing and you still can't get anywhere because of all of the road construction. I love Montana, no really I do. I would live there if I could just find away to make it happen. And just for the record, I was in 70 degree sunny weather later that day. Please note that the smuges on the windscreen are bugs. Let spring begin.

Nice Rack!

I know that it's hard to see, but this is a rack full of Receivers. This is what I sell and train on. Ya, I'm overwhelmed as well. Thought for the day, "If you are going to sell something, make sure that it's something light and easy to move around to show the customer". Steel is way to heavy. Off to Missoula, MT. and Kalispell, MT. this week. Oh, the joy of it all.

Recap of trip.

3 Weeks 14 nights in hotels. Way to much coffee...not. 4500 miles in my truck. 7000 miles in the air. Sea level to 9910 feet above sea level. Sun to Rain to Snow to everything else. I even drove along the great Salt Lake in Utah.
