On the road again....

Sing with me, you know the words....
Coffee is hot and the Squirrel and I are heading out on a 860 mile drive today.

first stop...Hood River for coffee
Second stop....Pasco for coffee
Third stop...Couer D'Alene for lunch at a nice little Greek place.
Fourth Stop...Missoula for coffee
Fifth Stop....Bozeman for dinner..Montana Ale Works is the best place for dinner. When traveling through Montana this is a must place to eat.
arrive in Billings, MT.

This is not counting fuel stops and the "watering the tree" pit stops. I should be able to make the drive in 13 hours or less.

6500 lbs of steel and two furry woodland creatures at the helm.....

I hate when you drive more than 9 hours in a day -

and "but squirrel will be with me" doesn't exactly make me feel any better about the whole thing either -

two rodents hyped on java -

great.

(OK, I think this is possibly the sweetest blog I've ever read if I've got this right...I know you two are hitched and all...is this your way of staying in contact while Woodchuck is on the road? Seriously guys...I'm gonna cry...)

(TKW - yeah, and it's really bad when we are sitting across the room from each other too . . . seriously with kid's schedules and time zones it has kinda worked out that way when he is on the road)

Take heart, Kel. DG and I have desks 4 feet from one another in the loft and we email one another back and forth. Saves the strain of having to turn our heads 45 degrees -- we're not getting any younger, ya know. And we don't have to worry about not hearing the TV over one another's voices. Technology makes likfe so tidy...

Wild cow and Druish Deities

I have been blessed with being able to drive some of the most unbelievable roads ever paved. Last week I found myself on HWY 108 in Central California. 130 Miles 26% grade 9624 at the summit 4 hours to drive this route This photo is looking west just down from the summit. I could live here with the wild cows. A lone wild cow at the 9000 foot level just making sure that nobody is speeding along.

Madison, WI.

The whole theme today was a Woodchuck and his ale. I found a nice little place in downtown Madison, WI. called the Great Dane Pub & Brewing Company. This was one of the best IPAs I've had east of the Rockies. Fun little place to go and the food was not to bad either. Traveling the Globe...ok, just the North American continent in search of the perfect pint on IPA. Hops, they are not just for breakfast anymore.
