Starbucks everywhere

There was a Starbucks not to far from the booth, but what is up with the price of everything almost double what it is at a normal Starbucks? And when I tried to order a Venti Americano in a Tall cup, the guy just gave me that "I'm soooo confused" look. So I tried to order it in more simple terms, "four shots with just a little water for color". This just made matters worse. In the end I just received a Venti. I as a rule don't like the Venti as it's as tall as I am and makes it hard to drink.

You mean double the already double price they charge for things?

So like... the normal grande price of $3.55 would now be about $7?

So... I'd be looking for a water fountain near the restrooms. :)

My normal $2.00 drink was $5.00 and food that runs $1.75 to $2.80 where I live was running as much as #4.50 to $5.50.

I really don't understand how Starbucks continues to grow. They have a good product, but thier prices are top of the market and their serivice is marginal to terrible. Double the price and I'd be with Merit looking for water.

Lol....I notice your link to 'Goodwood'......damn place, took me 5 hours to get home at night a few weeks back courtesy of a traffic jam as the festival of speed turned out to get home....those cars may be beautiful but some of them sure don't run on the road too well! ;o)

oh, GammaK now you are taunting the poor WC - he would find 5 hours stuck in traffic with "those" cars a religious experience LOL!

Everytime I look at this picture I think of stuffin' the WC in a Starbucks cup to see if I can get $5.50 for him . . .

Last week I found myself on HWY 108 in Central California. 130 Miles 26% grade 9624 at the summit 4 hours to drive this route This photo is looking west just down from the summit. Today was a good day..

I'm flying home today from Phoenix, AZ. First good thing: I was moved from my favorite seat in coach to a window seat in first class. Second thing: The guy sitting next to me did not want to talk and left me alone on the flight. Third thing: The flight was smooth and on time. Fourth thing: I'm walking out of the gate area at the airport when a TSA guy calls me over and ask me if I wanted an item, because if not he was going to throw it away. And you know it would be darn shame to throw out a nice bottle of...... Yes, that is correct, a nice 750ml bottle of Sauza Tres Generaciones 100% Puro De Agave Tequila. I'm now very...very ........tanked. Thank you TSA. I'm a 40% by volume Woodchuck.

It seemed like a good ideal at the time...

The question has been asked and needs to be answered: So, you all know the type in high school, the "Jock". The Jocks ran my school like so many school around the country. And, of course, football players topped that heirarchy of the teen stratusphere. And this might come as a huge surprise to most, but I played Football. I had social responsibilities to up hold and order to maintain on campus. You might say we were the police, the law and order of the school. We patrolled the halls with an iron fist. The stoners stayed well behaved. The nerds were well protected in exchange for homework. Life was good. Then one sunny spring day a nice little "Miss Gloria Steinem wanna be," who wrote for the school paper, decides to write a story questioning the authority of the Football team. In this situation, most people would of course write a rebuttal. And this is exactly what we would have done, had any of us on the Football team been able to write. No luck on this one. Howeve...
